Work on trying to develop a girls and ladies section at Padiham Football Club started back in 2004 under the management of Gary Mills. He was the one that put the infrastructure in place and made it possible for the storks to become founder members of the Lancashire Football Association Under 15s girls football league, move into the Lancashire FA Under 16s league a year later and then make the step up into the Lancashire FA Womens County League in 2006.



Finishing runners-up in Division Two of the Womens County League at the end of season 2006-07 meant Padiham Ladies gained promotion to Lancashire FAs top Division of the Womens County League after only existing for three years.



Season 2009-10 saw Padiham Ladies finish runners-up in the First Division of the Lancashire FA Womens League and reach the semi-finals of the Lancashire FA League Cup competition.

In Season 2010-11 Padiham Ladies became First Division champions of the Lancashire FA Womens League to gain promotion to the North West Women`s Regional League.



In season 2011-12 Padiham FC Ladies reached the semi-finals of the Lancashire FA Womens County Cup competition and entered the FA Women's Cup competition for the first time.
