Padiham Football Club

 

Padiham FC officials travelled to Blackpool on Saturday (15th June) to attend both the Evo-Stik Football League AGM and the North West Counties Football League AGM and Presentation Night, where all of the three trophies won by the club were officially presented to Padiham. These will then be on show at the Lancashire FA AGM on Monday night 17th June at The County Ground Leyland. The Trophies will again be on show at the Town Hall in Padiham on Friday night 5th July at a civic reception being held for the club by Padiham Town Council in the Ball Room. Padiham FC manager, Steve Wilkes, was also presented with the North West Counties Football League Premier Division Manager of the Year Award.

 

 

 

 



 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Padiham FC has arranged a number of preseason warm up games with home fixtures against a Burnley FC X1 on Saturday 27th July, Kick-Off 11.00 a.m. Skelmersdale United FC on Saturday 3rd August Kick-Off at 3.00 p.m. and a Wigan Athletic FC X1 on Tuesday 6th August, Kick-Off 7.00 p.m. Admission to all these three games will be pay on the day.



Padiham Football Club are to play a major part in the 2013 Padiham Festival which will include Padiham Sports Week. Padiham FC will kick-off the opening event of the Festival at their Arbories Memorial Sports Ground Club House by hosting a Comedy and Curry Night featuring Mike McGuire and Dave Wolfe and Andy Ashworth as MC.. Padiham FC Monthly Draw Winners for April and May were Marc Beckett and Mick Cowan.



First established in 1878 and reformed in 1949 Padiham Football Club has a long history and plenty of highlights but nothing to compare to the clubs exploits during season 2012-13.



The First team won Promotion to the Northern Premier League Evo-Stik Division One North after being crowned champions of The North West Counties Football League Premier Division, reached the semi-final of the Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy and had the leagues Premier Division leading goal scorer in Ben Allen who notched 41 goals over the season.



The Clubs Reserve side won the North West Counties Football League Reserve Division Championship and Reserve Division Cup to complete a great double.



The clubs Under 18 Youth team were East Lancashire Alliance Under 18s Youth League Runners-Up and Cup Finalists.



The clubs Under 13 Youth team were East Lancashire Alliance Under 13s Youth League Runners-Up.



Whilst the Ladies team finished 4th in the in Division One North of The North West Womens Regional League and had the Leagues player of the year in their team.



Over Forty Thousand pounds was spent on ground improvements to obtain the required ground grading  to enter the Northern Premier Evo-Stik League and The Storks had one hell of an end of season party to celebrate the club's successes.
